The 2010 White Pine Book Award Program is underway.  This reading incentive program for high school students, that was created by Durham Secondary Teacher-Librarians, has been adopted by the Ontario School Library Association and implemented in schools all over Ontario. 

Students who read at least five of the ten Canadian novel nominees will vote for their favourite selection at a pizza party and are also invited to a gala ceremony in May at which White Pine authors will speak.  The White Pine novels are on the novel spinner by the magazines in the library.
