Sunderland Lion's Music Festival

All of the music groups from USS will be participating in the Sunderland Music Festival this year.  The Intermediate Band will perform on Wednesday, February 22nd and the Junior & Senior band on Thursday, February 23rd.  Both Jazz Bands will also perform on Thursday, February 23rd.  Good Luck Everyone!  Please see your music teacher, or the Music Room door for performance time and Bus transportation details.

Grade 9 Band Trip

There will be a 2 day, grade 9 band trip once again next year to participate in MusicFest Canada's regional competition.  This is a voluntary trip with the students skiing/snowboarding/tubing one day and participating in the Music Festival the next.  

 While there students will also hear a concert performed by the world renown Canadian Armed Forces Central Band from Ottawa, Ontario.  This is open only to grade 9 band members and an opportunity not to be missed!

Senior Music Performance Tour 2012

 The trip has been confirmed, we are going!!!

The grade 10, 11 & 12 music tour has been approved for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in April 2012!    The powerpoint attached is a short snapshot of our activities. Please see Ms McKeown for more details.  We still have seats left on the bus if you are interested, please see Ms McKeown.

Uxbridge Rehearsal Schedule 2011 - 12

 Grade 9 students perform in the Junior Concert Band

 Grade 10 students perform in the Intermediate Concert Band or the Senior Band by invitation

 Grade 11 & 12 students perform in the Senior Concert Band

 Jazz Band - Any music student in any grade may participate.  Please see Ms Howard for more information.

Glee Club - Any student in the school may participate.  Regular attendance at rehearsals is necessary.

Music Council - Any student may participate in the Music Council.  It is a group of students who assist with the planning and presentation of concerts, fundraising events.  They also participate in school wide initiatives such as the Grade 9 Parents Night and Club Day.
