RUBRICS:

To help students achieve the highest possible marks, several rubrics are listed below.  All students are encouraged to strive for a level 4 rating.

ENGLISH COURSES:

There are many different optional English courses that students can take.  Some cool optional courses that you can take are: Public Speaking (EPS 301), Media (EMS 301), Literature Studies (ETS 4U1), and Writer's Craft (EWC 4U1).  To view these, as well as all mandatory English courses, please click on the link below:

 THE CLAW

To view the school newspaper, click on the link below.  If you want to join our Creative Words Club which publishes the school newspaper, we meet every Friday at lunch in room 192.  See Ms. Adams if you have any questions.

ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL LITERACY TEST:

Students will complete a preparation package as review for the O.S.S.L.T. provincial assessment, which will take place on March 29th, 2012.  Also, it is strongly suggested that students practise at home using the resources provided.  The following are links to some useful EQAO practice items.

WHITE PINE BOOKS:

Students are encouraged to join the White Pine Book club.  This year's novel choices can be found on the spinner in the library and include both fiction and non-fiction books.  Talk to Mr. MacIsaac or Mrs. Aguiar, in the library, for more information.
